Prepare yourself for the adventure of Medinas & Kasbahs as you will wonder through the beautiful and mysterious cities of Morocco. From the glamorous and charmed magic of Marrakesh with its famous square jamaa Elfna and beautiful gardens to the the timeless dunes of Erg Chebbi in the Sahara Desert. You will be amazed by the transcendent cultural city of Fez with its archaic schools and Palaces, as well as the fascinating Hassan II mosque in the cosmopolitan city of Casablanca. During the ten days of your journey you will have an amazing experience in the kingdom as you will unveil the exotic side of your personality.

12 DAYS TOUR OF MOROCCO ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA – RABAT ( 1 HOUR DRIVE )

As you will arrive to Casablanca airport, you will be welcomed and escorted by your guide and driver who will take you to Rabat, Morocco’s capital.
Check into your hotel, rest and refresh your energy
Get a good night sleep as your journey will begin the next morning.

DAY 2: RABAT

Fuel up with a majestic breakfast and meet up with your guide & driver for a tour at the capital:
First you will visit the thousand years old fortress Kasbah of the Oudays and the serene Andalusian garden. After that you will pay a visit to Morocco’s most mystical places that stand as a masterpieces of modern Moroccan architecture, Hassan Tower and Mohamed V Mausoleum.
Time has come to experience the delightful Moroccan cuisine with a lavish lunch at a local restaurant, right after that, continue your tour to the imperial roman city Sala Colonia which is also known as chellah
If you have some energy left you might want take a look at some of the wonderful collection of ceramics in the Archaeological museum of Rabat
Return back to your hotel and brace yourself for the journey that awaits you the next morning

DAY 3: RABAT – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FES ( 3 HOURS DRIVE )

Today you will go back in time and relive history, right after your breakfast in your hotel, your guide will escort you to the imperial city of Meknes.
Your tour will begin with a walk around the city as you will visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail the founder of Meknes, Bab Mansour and the royal stables which have once hosted over 12 00 horses.
Relax and have lunch at a local restaurant, and resume your journey by going to one of the most spiritual places in the kingdom, the mausoleum of Moulay Driss, a great grand son of the prophet Mohamed.
From there carry on to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis which offer excellent views of Roman art and architecture against the backdrop of the Moroccan countryside.
After you finish your tour in Volubilis, your driver will take you to the labyrinthine city of Fez, on your way you will also notice the vast acreages of vineyards which produce some of the most elegant red wine in Africa.

DAY 4: FES

This time, Your journey will be one of a kind as you will walk through 1,300 years of Moroccan heritage. Today you will discover the medieval city of Fes, also known as the “Athens of Africa” and the “Mecca of the West” for its history and role as the spiritual and learning capital of Morocco.
Escorted with your guide you will explore the iconic sites of the imperial city. First you will visit the 7 golden gates and the broad esplanade of the Royal palace. Next you will take a look at Borj Nord the famous bastion which was built by Sultan Ahmed in the 16th century and you will be amazed by the spectacular views of the whole medina of Fez. From there you will go to the UNESCO world heritage Medina where you will absorbed by the exotic bazaars, the riverside tanneries, the hillside shrines and the Islamic schools known as madrassas which give a sense of the splendor of the Islamic architecture. You will also see the beautiful Nejjarine Square which is dotted with Andalusian-style architecture dating from the 18th century and of course Dar Batha Museum that showcases woodworking tools along with a collection of wood and cabinet work, both ancient and modern from various regions in Morocco.
After a day full of discovery and adventure, you would want to get back to your hotel to rest and relax.

DAY 5: FES – MIDELT – ERFOUD ( 7 HOURS DRIVE )

Have breakfast and fuel up because today’s trip will be fatiguing. The journey through the Atlas Mountains begins as you drive past the Middle Atlas Mountains, Ziz Valley all the way to Tafilalt.
Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and scenery on your way to the little charming town of Ifran , located in the middle of the Atlas Mountains; well-known for ski resort in the winter. You will definitely love the picturesque scenery the town offers.
From there you will resume your trip to Azrou. Don’t be surprised if you meet some Barbary Macaques jumping from a tree to another in the cedar forests.
You will arrive at Midelt by noon, where you can have lunch and relax so you can continue your trip to Erfoud. As you drive through the Atlas Mountains towards Ziz Valley , you may notice small berber villages. Make sure to enjoy the beautiful landscapes, the vast valleys and the scenic oases dotted with date palm trees .
You trip today will come to an end as you arrive to Erfoud late in the afternoon, have dinner and relax at your hotel.

DAY 6: ERFOUD – MERZOUGA ( 2 HOURS DRIVE )

Have breakfast in your hotel and get ready to meet your 4x4 driver. Today’s adventure will be one of a kind, you will head to the city of Erfoud, Sahara’s door and the legendary birthplace of the Alaouites dynasty who ruled Morocco since the 15th century. Make sure to visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali al-Sharif the founder of the present Alawite Dynasty, you will enjoy seeing the ornate gate and the entrance to the large hall that houses the tombs. Right after, you will cross the stony desert south east of Erfoud and as you drive past the nomad camps, you will find yourself surrounded by camels shepherded by the locals in the middle. Afterwards, you will arrive the fabulous ergs of Chebbi which hosts some of the highest dunes in the Sahara. Continue to the nomads Village of khamlia, where you meet some local musicians playing the music of gnawa, which communicates with the soul. Continue to your camp operator lodge. By the time you have lunch, relax or even take a swim before your camel caravan would be ready for an unforgettable experience riding your camel in the Sahara desert, and enjoy a dramatic sunset over Erg Chebbi sand dunes. the shooting and falling starts at night.
Have fun with nomads as you enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner while enjoying the shooting stars, and being entertained by the local nomads playing their vibrant drums.

DAY 7: MERZOUGA – OURRZAZATE ( 5 HOURS DRIVE )

Try to wake up early so you wouldn’t the magical sunrise,
Today will be a day of discovery as you will visit a fossils workshop, you will find out how the locals dig for ammonites, orthoceras, trilobites and dinosaur teeth to process them and put them for sale.
Later on, you will head to the oasis of Tinnghir, along with your guide, you will take a walk in the oasis through the little paths next to the water canals. When you arrive to the famous canyons of Todra where you will be amazed by the beautiful scenery.
After you rest and have lunch in local café, you will drive to the Dades Valley which is located in the heart of the high Atlas Mountains.
As you arrive to Skoura oasis, you will meet all kinds of farmers, and friendly Berber families, visit the Kasbah of Amridil to discover their lifestyle and way of living, you will also enjoy the Kasbahs architecture and creative irrigation techniques.
Your journey in the Sahara desert will come to an end, and you will head to Ouarzazate and arrive late in the afternoon, have dinner and get a good night’s sleep

DAY 8: OURRZAZATE – KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH ( 4 HOURS DRIVE )

After breakfast, your day starts with a visit to one of the most beautiful and historical mud brick villages in Morocco: Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou . This village, located in the route between the Sahara and Marrakech, is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site and is a popular tourist destination. The famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is known for figuring in many Hollywood movies including : Gladiator , Kingdom of heaven , Babel , Prince of Persia , Game of thrones and many more .
After Ait Ben Haddou , Our next stop will be the high Atlas mountains followed by the adobe Berber villages , Tizi Ntichka and finally The imperial city of Marrakech where You will be having dinner and staying in one of Marrakech ‘s finest riads.

DAY 9: MARRAKECH:

After a majestic breakfast in your Riad or hotel, brace yourself for a long tour in the archaic, bustling Medina of Marrakesh. The magical city has everything a traveler could wish for. Ancient souks housing a never-ending endless array of shops, cafés, and museums, history literally around every corner, and practically year-round sunshine.
Your journey in Marrakesh will begin with a visit to the Koutobia mosque, a prototypical monument of Moroccan-Andalusian architecture, from there carry on to the Saadian Tombs which houses over 60 tombs and over 100 beautiful gardens. Drive past the Mellah ( The old Jewish quarter ) and visit the Bahia Palace and enjoy the beautifully maintained woodcarving, geometric painting and stuccowork throughout ceilings of the palace.
Take a walk through labyrinth of the old medina streets, and gaze at the bustling souks and performers carrying out their trade on the famous Jemma el-Fnaa square.
Quickly grab a bite at one of the cafés or restaurants in the Medina and resume your journey to The Medersa Ben Youssef, Tour the (130) old student dormitories and enjoy the beautiful wood carvings.
Right after, enjoy your your horse drawn carriage and experience a picturesque ride through Gueliz ( The modern part of Marrakech ) and the impressive Majorelle Gardens that host a collection of exotic bamboo, cactuses and palms from around the world and provide a haven for many local birds like storks, kestrels and flycatchers.

DAY 10: MARRAKECH:

The tenth day is all about relaxation. In the morning, You can either chill and relax in your hotel or take part in one of our most fun leisure activities : Moroccan cooking class, which take place at “La Maison Arabe”. This unique experience will give you the opportunity to learn how to cook famous Moroccan meals like Tagine , Pastilla and Couscous .
In the afternoon, You will get to discover the relaxing traditional experience which Morocco is known for : the “ Hammam “ ( or steaming bath ) . You will spend 2 relaxing hours in one of the finest Spas in Morocco “ les Bains de Marrakech “. One hour will consist of the actual bath and body scrub and the second hour of a relaxing massage with local aromatic essential oils.
Finally, a farewell dinner will be accompanied by a fun entertaining show to make your day unforgettable.

DAY 11: MARRAKECH – CASABLANCA ( 3 HOURS DRIVE )

After breakfast, you will drive to Casablanca , the largest city of Morocco and also its commercial and industrial capital. There, you will get to visit the famous Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in the country and the only one giving access to non-Muslims.
Casablanca also has one of the scenic coasts in Morocco. After having lunch in one of the restaurants of “La Corniche” , you will be transferred to your hotel where you will spend the rest of the afternoon before a final farewell dinner at the famous Rick’s Café.

DAY 12: DEPARTURE

Have breakfast at your hotel, pack up and get ready for your flight as your journey in the kingdom has come to an end.
